I absolutely loved this restaurant. I made a reservation online, but it didn't go through properly since I booked too late on the same day. However, the staff still managed to seat me outside which was great. The atmosphere is lovely, and the server was exceptional. The food was delicious, and the wine was excellent as well. I would definitely return to this restaurant when I’m in Florence again. Highly recommend!

We went here every night for dinner during our 3 day stay in Florence. It was recommended to us by a local and we are so glad it was! We had pasta one night and then came back for the Florentina steak the next! It was SO good we came back the last night again for steak!! The restaurant was lovely and the staff are very attentive and friendly. Very affordable prices. Will come back again!!

We enjoyed our dinner here. The bruschetta was a little tasteless and very plain. The bread basket was nice especially with the oils on offer. But…. the pasta’s were both amazing! The service was friendly but food delivery was very slow - 45 mins between appetizer and main. It was very busy, but we saw lots of people seated way after we arrived get their mains way before we did. The house wine by the carafe was really good. Overall pretty good and we’ll definitely come back for the pasta!

Very authentic and tasteful Italian cooking. The spaghetti carbonara was without doubt the best we ever had. Thick, creamy and an explosion of taste. Simply wow! Highly recommended.

It was a great surprise. In the center of Florence old town and not a tourist trap. Fantastic food. Great service. Normal prices. From Chicago perspective - cheap. Steak, truffle tartar with burratta, bruschetta, 1/4L wine, two coffees 67euro. Didn't have high expectations and I got a lot.

Hosteria da Ganino offers a warm, rustic dining experience in the heart of Florence. The menu leans into Tuscan classics, with standout dishes like bistecca alla Fiorentina, wild boar pappardelle, and spinach risotto. While some portions may feel modest, the flavors are authentic and the ingredients fresh. The house Chianti pairs beautifully with most entrées, and desserts like tiramisu and zuppa inglese round out the meal with charm. Service is generally friendly, though peak hours can bring slower pacing. The ambiance is lively yet relaxed, with a mix of locals and tourists creating a welcoming buzz. Prices are fair for the location, especially considering the quality of the food and the central setting near Piazza dei Cimatori. It’s a solid choice for lunch or dinner, especially if you’re looking for traditional Tuscan fare without the tourist-trap feel.

The food was just incredible. Especially the pear salad, was so fresh and something different. We loved it. The waiters were very kind and at the same time really stressed, which we totally understand because it is a very sought after restaurant, where you really feel like eating local italien food. Carbonara, like so many reviews before us wrote, was phenomenal. Great selection of wines, for every dish: white, red, rosé etc. Prices were a little bit higher than other places but well worth it.

One of the best meals we’ve had while in Florence—friendly service, cute seating area, and great food! We particularly loved the lamb chops and rabbit, as well as the pesto!
